Our comprehensive testing services encompass a variety of assessments, including placement evaluations, health sciences, BLET admissions tests, high school equivalency exams, and proctoring for distance education students enrolled in external institutions.
All testing services are held in person by appointment only. Our testing center is in the Student Center building, room number 30.
Students must have a completed admissions application on file with Admissions before testing.
NOTE: You must apply to Isothermal Community College before scheduling a placement test.
Students who have graduated from a U.S. high school are exempt from placement testing and will be placed into courses upon receipt of their high school transcripts.
Isothermal Community College's course placement and placement testing options provide more information. Applicants who have an unweighted GPA of less than 2.8 may opt to take the placement test.
GED and Adult High School applicants are exempt from placement testing and will be admitted and placed into the courses upon receipt of their transcripts.
Applicants who have taken an Advanced Placement English or math exam may submit official exam scores for review and determination of testing exemption. Check the AP credit policy for more information.
Placement may be based on completion of an associate degree or higher for applicants who submit a transcript to Isothermal Community College showing graduation.
Placement may be based on college-level coursework for applicants who have received a grade of “C” or better in a college-level English or math course from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in the U.S.
Applicants may submit ACCUPLACER Next Gen placement scores for consideration of placement.
Testing will not take place due to campus closure and/or delays, notification can be found on the college homepage.
