Associate Degree Nursing students pinned during special ceremony

Spindale, NC (April 30, 2026) - Forty-nine Isothermal Community College nursing students were awarded their pins at a special ceremony this week.
The pinning ceremony, held at the Performing Arts and Conference Center at Isothermal Community College, is the traditional graduation event for the students in the Associate Degree Nursing program.
The graduates of the 2026 class are Danielle Adkins, Storm Alencar, Carley Allen, Madison Bennett, Nathan Bennett, Emily Bowman, Julia Camp, Terri Carswell, Adrianna Castaneda, Annie Cole, Jacie Cook, Gabriel Craig, Rebekah Oakes Earle, Aja Fillers, Ashley Fox, Samiya Gaines, Alexis Grayson, Jada Williams Greene, Jeffrey Greene, Jessica Grooms, Debbie Hendrick, Ella Crowe Henson, Amber Hines, Casey Hudson, Michaela Hughes, Holly Juanita Hamrick Jackson, Samone Jones, Allison Kinton, Haley Lawter, Madison Nicole Lilly, R'kashia Lynch, Francis Mendoza, Ciera Morais, Elizabeth "Izzy" Oliver, Marita Painter, Abby Pringle, Brianna Galloway Rathbone, Christie Rice, Jessica Rich, Emily Turney Schaap, Brandy Simmons, Karsyn Smoak, Kayleigh Thorne, Alicia Twitty, Jonathan Heath Waldrop, Breana Wallace, Samantha Westbrook, Alyssa Wilkie, and Trinity Yelton.
Dr. Margaret Annunziata, president of Isothermal Community College, welcomed the audience. Graduate Heath Waldrop made remarks to his classmates. Izzy Oliver presented a special remembrance to the class, followed by comments from instructor Lisa Alley and a slide show by graduate Julia Camp.
The nursing faculty before nursing director Betsy Cuthbertson presented class awards and conducted the pinnings with the assistance of Donna Hood, dean of Health and Public Services. Ella Henson led the students in lighting the Nightingale lamps.
The ceremony closed with music by Ashley Buchanan and a benediction by class member Samone Jones.
