Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees are designed to prepare you for the workforce right away. Many of our AAS programs also transfer directly into specific Bachelor’s degree programs through special agreements with partner universities.
Isothermal Community College has many partnerships with four-year universities that guarantee your credits will transfer smoothly toward a higher degree. These agreements act as a "credit-transfer roadmap," ensuring you don't have to retake or pay for the same classes twice once you move on from ICC.

Through co-admissions, you are accepted to Isothermal and your partner university at the same time. You get the benefits of access to advisors and resources at both institutions from day one, making the move to your four-year degree completely seamless.
These are special, direct contracts between Isothermal and one specific university for a specific major. It’s a custom-made roadmap course map that tells you exactly which Isothermal classes to take to fit perfectly into that university’s degree plan.

The CAA is a statewide contract that guarantees a smooth transfer of credits and junior-level status for North Carolina community college AA and AS graduates who are admitted to any of the 16 public University of North Carolina (UNC) system institutions.
The ICAA facilitates a seamless transfer for North Carolina community college students to participating private colleges by ensuring credits are honored and coursework is not repeated.
The UAA stablishes a streamlined pathway for students in specific applied programs to transfer credits toward a matching bachelor's degree at participating North Carolina public and private universities.
