SECU Bridge to Career Scholarships Available at Isothermal Community College

Spindale, NC (March 26, 2026) - Isothermal Community College is proud to support students pursuing workforce training through the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) Bridge to Career Program. Up to 30 students may receive $500 scholarships to cover tuition, books, supplies, credentialing exams, and other training-related expenses, helping them focus on gaining the skills needed for in-demand careers.
Since its establishment in 2018, the SECU Bridge to Career Program has helped thousands of students across North Carolina gain training and credentials that lead to sustainable, local careers. The program is available at all 58 community colleges in the state and supports short-term, career-focused training in high-demand fields, including healthcare, skilled trades, technology, and more.
“Programs like SECU Bridge to Career are critical to strengthening our local workforce,” said Dr. Scott Queen, Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development. “By removing financial barriers, we connect students with the training they need to step into high-demand careers and make an immediate impact in our community.”
