New health clinic set to open at Isothermal

SPINDALE (Sept. 1, 2022) – Access to a variety of healthcare services will soon be easier for students and employees at Isothermal Community College.  

The Health and Wellness Clinic, operated by the Foothills Health District, will be in Suite 20C of the Isothermal Student Center on the Spindale campus. 

“The new clinic will be an excellent enhancement to services that students, employees, and community members can access right here on the main campus,” said Dr. Greg Thomas, vice president of Academic and Student Affairs. “We appreciate the work of the Foothills Health District in its willingness to provide these valuable services. It’s a great example of a good community partnership.” 

The clinic will offer the following services:  

  • Immunizations; 

  • PPDs (TB Tests); 

  • Physicals, particularly for professional and academic purposes; 

  • Family planning services; 

  • Acute illness care; and

  • Rapid tests for flu, strep, and COVID. 

The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting Monday, Sept. 12. The Health and Wellness Center is not an urgent care or emergency room. The clinic can see employees, students and members of the community. The clinic bills on a sliding fee scale for those who are not covered by health insurance.
