Massage Therapy Program

This 660 hour program combines class time with hands-on practice of massage techniques. Coursework includes anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, business practices, ethics and specific massage modalities. The evening class is hybrid, and involves online hours in addition to classroom hours. Upon completion graduates of the program may apply for the MBLex exam to practice therapeutic massage.

Requirements for admission:

  • High School Diploma, GED/Adult High School Equivalency, or College Transcripts
  • Unofficial college transcript indicating a passing grade on a college level English course or passing the CASAS Reading test (administered at the Isothermal Polk Campus)
  • Must be 18 years old by first day of class
  • Valid passport, driver’s license, or state-issued ID card
  • Valid passport or social security card

Estimated Program Costs:

  • Registration fee: $180.00
  • Books: $400.00 (approximate)
  • Pathways to Massage: $70
  • Black Scrubs and closed-toe shoes: $75.00 (approximate)
  • Student Accident Insurance: $0.55 (optional, due at time of registration)
  • Total:  $725.55 (approximate)

Testing, Licensure, and Certification Fees:

The following fees are not affiliated with ICC and would be incurred after the program is over (once the student was ready to take the licensing exam and apply for a license.)

  • Criminal Background Check/Drug Screening:  $65 estimated
  • MBLEX: $265
  • NC State License Fees:  $210
  • National Certification (optional):  $275
