We are excited to jump our way into skills, drills, and team building in the 2024 Isothermal Patriot Basketball Camp at Isothermal Community College! Isothermal’s very own Coach, Kenneth Hines will be leading these camps.
Isothermal Patriot Basketball Camp is designed for rising 3rd through 8th (current 2nd - 7th) grade students to develop basketball skills and grow a continued sense of team building. Participants do not need to have experience playing basketball to participate.
Lunch will be provided free of charge to all participants by the Rutherford County Schools Nutrition Program. Participants are welcome to bring their own meal if they prefer. Proper hydration is key: participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle with their name on it, as water refill stations are available in the Student Center Building.
Be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothing and supportive sneakers. This year’s camp will be located in the gym and/or at outdoor basketball facilities near the Student Center. This is because the HVAC system in the Student Center will be replaced this year and gym availability will be based on the progress of the project. Since we'll be moving between the indoor and outdoor facilities, consider dressing in layers for changing temperatures. Remember to wear your sunblock or wear breathable clothing that blocks the sun. Wearing a hat and sunglasses can provide extra protection during our outdoor sessions.
The registration fee is $60 per participant. If there are multiple children in the same household, the first participant’s fee is $60, and additional children are $55 each. Once the participant has been accepted to the camp, full payment will be due. Acceptance emails will be sent to the parent/guardian email address(es) provided in the registration form. Payment due dates are May 27, 2024 for grades 6-8 and June 17, 2024 for grades 3-5. Payment methods include credit/debit card cards, checks, money orders, and cash.
If, for any reason, the student is no longer able to participate, the cancelation request must be received in writing before the first day of the camp. The cancelation can be sent to khines@isothermal.edu or delivered in person to Student Services, located in room 7 of the Student Center Building. For additional information, you may also call 828-395-4232. Cancelations submitted before the first day of camp will receive a 100% refund.
