Located in The Foundation building at Isothermal Community College, the mission of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in Rutherford and Polk counties. We provide high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners and their employees.

Services include:

  • Workshops/Seminars.   Sponsored by the Small Business Center to assist the small business entrepreneur with areas of management/supervision, marketing, taxes, record keeping and the "how-to's" of starting a business, as well as other topics. 
  • Free, confidential counseling for new and existing businesses. Available on an "as needed" basis, this service acts as a sounding board for ideas and concerns you may have about your business.
  • Referrals to business resources.   Local community, State and Federal Small Business Information Links .
  • Resource Library.  Includes printed materials such as books, pamphlets and magazines as well as a variety of tapes and videos available to be checked out.
