The Learning College Manual, (“Manual”), is intended to provide relevant information to all employees of the College. The Manual contains an overview of the mission and governance of the College, official policies adopted by the Board of Trustees and Administration, procedures and guidelines pertaining to the operations of the College, and general information. No publication can cover every aspect of the College’s operations, but an attempt has been made to cover those most essential.
Policies, procedures and information contained herein are subject to change without notice. Efforts will be made to keep changes to a minimum, but changes in policy by the State Board of Community College, state and federal regulation, and/or local conditions may make revisions necessary. Any revisions to the Manual will be communicated to employees as early as possible.
Each employee should become familiar with the Manual as well as the College Catalog, Student Handbook and other program specific manuals in order to contribute to the continued success of the College. Employees are expected to comply with policies and procedures contained therein. The Manual does not constitute a contract between the College and its employees.
Employees are encouraged to use the Manual on the website for reference and for printing pages on an as needed basis. This ensures the employees are using the most current information. The official Manual is obtained in the Human Resources Office. Request for hard copies may be made through the Director of Human Resources when necessary. Administration is receptive to and encourages suggestions for improvement of the Manual; suggestions should be submitted in writing to the Director of Human Resources.
