High School Equivalency Testing

Isothermal Community College provides testing for two high school equivalency tests: HiSET and GED. Testing generally takes place on Tuesdays. Computer-based testing is scheduled for the morning and HiSET paper-based testing is scheduled in the afternoon. THE TESTING DEPARTMENT DOES NOT SCHEDULE THESE TESTS. Scheduling for high school equivalency is done through the testing organization. Passing any one of the assessments will lead to the same high school equivalency diploma issued by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges.

Isothermal Community College offers free classes that help you prepare for high school equivalency testing. Our College and Career Readiness page provides information about these classes.
