The speaker will be an Isothermal adjunct instructor, Karel A. Reynolds. She is a teacher fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. Karel has a Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. She is a specialist in education and school programs about the Holocaust.

 

Karel is a teacher, researcher, and international speaker on issues relating to the history of the Holocaust, the law relating to it, hate crimes in the 21st century, the war crimes trial in Nuremberg, and universal legislation regarding Holocaust survivors. She is also the director of the Word of Faith Christian School Holocaust Museum in Forest City, North Carolina.

  

The History Matters Series was developed by staff at the Isothermal Library along with a committee of local historians and educators. The series kicked off in September and will include many future events.
