General Assembly raises tuition

SPINDALE (July 1, 2009) -- The Business Office received official word from the North Carolina Community College System this morning concerning a curriculum tuition rate increase effective July 1, 2009, for the upcoming fall semester.

The new in-state tuition rate is $50.00 per credit hour and the out-of-state rate is $241.30 per credit hour. Yes, that is an increase of $8.00 per credit hour for in-state - from $42.00 to $50.00. We realize the impact this may have on students who do not have any type of financial aid and we are making an effort to get the word out.

Early Registration Info:

Students have until July 17 to have their tuition paid-in-full or have their WIA, TAA or employer billed authorizations to the Business Office. The time frame was extended to allow the Financial Aid Office to get student’s aid processed. Students who have not paid-in-full or have no financial aid in place by July 17 will have their fall registration cancelled on July 20.

Business Office hours for July 6-10 are 8:30am-7:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-12 noon Friday. Hours for July 13-17 are 8:30am-04:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-12 noon on Friday.
