Becoming an Online Student at Isothermal

Is online learning for YOU?

To register for an online curriculum class, you must:
  1. Complete the Admissions Requirements for the program
  2. Contact your advisor to get registered
  3. Pay for your classes
  4. Contact the instructor of your course as soon as possible after registration.

Once you have registered for an online course and have paid your tuition, you must e-mail your instructor on the first class day of the semester. Your instructor will then make the course materials available to you. Failure to contact your instructor and to begin participating in the course on the first day of the term may result in your being dropped from the course without a refund.

Here is a link to help you contact your instructor.

For more information on the Admissions and registration process, please contact the Admissions Office at ext. 251 or by email.

Once you have completed the previous 4 steps, then you are ready to go online. Go to the Moodle site and log in, as detailed in Instructions for Accessing Moodle (Camtasia presentation).

If you have any questions or problems logging on, please contact the instructor for your course.

New! A new feature we have recently implemented is a help desk for our students. The help desk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So if you have trouble accessing Moodle or student email, call 866-471-4251 to speak with a technician.  You may also visit the Online Learning Support Center provided by the North Carolina Community College System.
