Library Services for Polk Campus
Polk County Public Library has assumed the role of support library for Polk campus programs since the 2006 opening of its new library building on the grounds of Isothermal Community College's Polk campus. Part of the holdings of the old Polk campus library have been transferred to the new public library; other items have been integrated into Isothermal's Spindale campus library collection. Some materials appearing in the CMC catalog that are still labeled Polk campus library constitute a small non-circulating Reference collection for use by Polk Campus staff.
Since the Polk County Public Library is a member of the CMC Library Consortium, its holdings information can be accessed by means of the CMC Consortium Catalog, and its materials may be checked out to anyone holding a valid CMC library card. Although transfer of items for circulation between the libraries in Polk County and those in Rutherford County is not possible at this time, Polk County Public Library materials are available to those with direct access to that library.
