Financial Aid Home

To receive financial aid, the student must maintain satisfactory academic progress toward an eligible  program of study. Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is a set of standards for financial aid progress.

All financial aid recipients are required to meet satisfactory academic guidelines established by Isothermal Community College and financial aid standards of progress, pursuant to Federal regulations.

The intent of this policy is to insure that students who are receiving federal and state financial aid are making measurable progress toward completion of a degree, certificate, or diploma program in a reasonable period of time and a reasonable number of credit hours attempted in their program of study.

A student must remain eligible under quantitative (progression rate, maximum time frame, and maximum developmental hours) and qualitative measures.

Poor grades and withdrawals can be hazardous to a student's aid.  It is highly advised that the student meet with a financial aid officer before withdrawing from classes.  The following information is provided to educate the student in the financial aid processes.
