Institutional Aid
There are various types of aid available at Isothermal Community College. Completion of the FAFSA is a requirement for most types of aid at ICC. We recommend that you do this online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, if you have not already done so.
This process usually begins in January and ends at the
end of May. Students are required to complete a scholarship application which
may
be obtained from the Financial Aid Office or online (General
Scholarship
) from January through May of each year. The application
contains a page for the student to complete, a reference page and a community
service reference page to complete and return. The reference sheet must
be completed and returned before the applicant will be considered. It is
up to the student to decide whether they want to be considered for a scholarship
which has a community service component. This requires a community service
reference sheet. A complete listing of internal scholarships are in the

Once the scholarship deadline passes, applications are reviewed to determine which applicants qualify for each scholarship. A list of all eligible applicants for each scholarship is sent to the scholarship committee for review and selection. It is the goal of the scholarship committee to notify each recipient by the start of the fall semester therefore these funds are available for the student to use on tuition and books for the fall and spring semesters.
Various organizations also notify the financial aid office of available scholarships. These scholarships as well as the online links are posted to the Isothermal web site here.

Additional Scholarship applications are required for the NESLP and Golden Leaf Scholarship Programs because of the guidelines for awarding. These will be posted on the Scholarships page when the application process begins. We suggest that you regularly monitor this site so that no scholarship opportunity is missed.
The largest scholarship program which ICC has is the Powers Scholarship Program. It is a separate scholarship program designed to be a last resort funding if other guidelines are met. This too, requires that a student complete a FAFSA application.
