Admissions Processes

These are the steps necessary to complete a student's admission file for financial aid purposes.  An application for Isothermal Community College must be submitted before any further steps can be taken.  The application can be found online at www.isothermal.edu/admissions or it can be picked up in the office of admission. Once the application has been submitted, the potential student should contact the admissions office to see what further documents are required.

FAFSA Processes

This encompasses the steps necessary to complete a student's financial aid file. Completion and submission of the FAFSA (PELL) is a requirement for most aid received at Isothermal Community College.  The process begins with completing the FAFSA and  ends when an award letter is signed and returned to the Financial Aid Office at  Isothermal Community College.  Aid is available only after the Financial Aid Office is in receipt of the student's signed award letter.  The complete process generally takes from 3 to 5 weeks.  We suggest that you begin this process by completing your application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible.  You may choose any of three methods for filing a FAFSA.

Other Applications

This process involves various applications for institutional scholarships, childcare, Federal Work-Study, various state scholarships, online scholarship searches, etc.  Generally a student must have applied for FAFSA before they will be considered for other types of aid.
