Learning College Manual
Emergency and Safety
The procedures and safety regulations outlined in this manual are to enhance the protection of lives and property at Isothermal Community College.
This manual provides guidance in those areas where there are safety risks, and it contains procedures that should be followed in emergency situations. The procedures apply to all college staff, and to students and visitors on the property or in any buildings owned, leased, or operated by the college. Since emergencies normally are sudden and without warning, emergency responses as outlined may need to be altered in order to accommodate contingencies of various types and magnitudes.
The safety policies and procedures are reviewed annually and revised as necessary to provide for the safety of all who attend Isothermal Community College classes, work at the college, or visit the college or its Polk County center.
