 Faculty Course Development Procedures

If you are interested in developing an online course, please follow this sequence to get started:

  1. Talk with your dean/director to be sure the course is needed and that money is available for you to develop the course.  Your dean/director may also be able to help you determine if there is enough student demand for the course to justify offering it online.

  2. Contact Tim Greene (DL Technology and Support Coordinator) or Marisa Sudano (DL Training and Development Coordinator) to set up an account if you don't already have one.

  3. Complete viewing the Moodle Course Moodle Tutorials (under Faculty Resources).

  4. Create a course under the correct course Category following the established course naming guidelines, settings, etc.

Please note that many training opportunities are available for those interested in putting a course online.  Please contact Marisa Sudano or Tim Greene if you are interested.
