HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS TO ICC

Before you will be eligible to attend Isothermal Community College, you must complete all admission requirements of the Admissions Office at Isothermal Community College. Please click here for general admission requirements information.

HOME-SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS

Home-School transcripts must include the following information:

Transcripts must be notarized by a Notary Public and sent to Isothermal Community College’s Admissions Office in an envelope sealed and sent by the Home-School Administrator.

LICENSE TO OPERATE

Every North Carolina home-schooled student must submit a photocopy of the card sent to the Home-School Administrator by Raleigh verifying the home-school’s license to operate in the State. For students home-schooled in other States, please submit whatever verification is provided by that State. For more information on home schools in North Carolina please click here.

DUAL/CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT

Home-schooled students 18 years of age or younger, and still enrolled in at least 50% of a high school course load are potentially eligible to participate in the dual/concurrent enrollment program. Please be aware that to qualify for dual enrollment, home-school students will still need to submit the ‘verification card’ noted in the license to operate paragraph above. However, transcripts are not required unless it is to provide SAT or ACT scores, in which case the transcripts must be notarized and sent to Isothermal Community College’s Admission Department in an envelope sealed by the Home-School Administrator.
